Graduation Requirements

*A minimum of 24 credits is required for graduation for the Class of 2026 and thereafter

  • 4 – English: English 1, English 2, English 3, English 4 or English Composition 1 and 2

    4 – Math: Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Advanced Algebra, College Algebra, Senior Math or Personal Finance. All students are required to take a Math or Personal Finance class during their Senior year.

    4 – Science: Biology 1, Chemistry, Environmental Science or Physics, Human Anatomy and Physiology or Physical Science. *Biology 1 and Chemistry are required.

    4 – Social Studies: MS Studies (.5), Intro to Geography (.5), World History, US History, US Government (.5), and Economics (.5).

    1 - Computer - 8th Grade 1 – STEM in 9th grade (for classes before the Class of 2027)

    1 – Art: High School Art or Dual Credit Art or Music Appreciation

    2 – Foreign Languages: Spanish 1 and Spanish 2

    1 - College & Career Readiness Course/Senior Year for classes of 2026 and beyond.

    2 - Electives (3 electives for Class of 2027 and thereafter.)

  • A minimum of 22 credits is required for graduation. This plan of high school study does NOT guarantee high school graduates the course requirements to attend a Mississippi public 4-year college or university directly out of high school. Graduates must first attend a community college. However, if a Career Tech student wishes to meet IHL requirements, then an alternate plan should be devised with the assistance of the school counselor.
